Melbourne IVF outcomes · January 2019 – June 2022 · Private patients, single embryo transfers
Clinical tool
Data source. Actual live-birth outcomes per single embryo transfer at Melbourne IVF, stratified by age at egg collection, Gardner grade, day of transfer, and cycle type (Fresh / FET / PGT). Imported and cryopreserved eggs excluded; FET cohort excludes embryos with warm survival <75% or multiple cryopreservations. Grade pooling: 4/5AA · 4/5AB/BA · 4/5BB & 3AA · 3BA/AB/BB · Grade 1–2 · any ICM or TE = C.
Patient
Age at the time of egg collection determines the reference cohort.
Transfer history
Enter each embryo transfer in order. Rates update as you type; combinations not represented in the MIVF cohort are flagged as insufficient data.
RIF threshold
The cumulative expected success rate above which RIF is considered. Standard 60% aligns with ESHRE framing.

Per-transfer rates
Position-adjusted live-birth rate for each transfer in sequence.

Probability all transfers fail—
Imagine 100 women like you
Of 100 women in this age band at Melbourne IVF with the same transfer history, this is how outcomes would break down by the end of the sequence.
—would achieve pregnancy
—would still not be pregnant
Cumulative success across transfers
How cumulative probability builds across attempts. The curve flattens — each extra transfer adds progressively less. Move the slider to project additional transfers.

Projected transfers (dashed line, grey markers) assume the average base rate of the existing transfers with further position decay applied. These are hypothetical — actual rates depend on the specific embryos available.
